This particular hotel is known to have being built close to a Native America cemetery. This particular hotel gave inspiration to writer, Steven King’s, birthing his horror novel, ‘shinning’. This came after he spent a night in the Stanley hotel and had a nightmare of his son been chased across the lobby of the hotel.

Workers in this hotel also claim that spirits of dead owners, still roam around the corners of the vicinity.
